SSS launches facial authentication option for ACOP compliance

THE Social Security System (SSS) has introduced a new digital option for pensioners to comply with the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners (ACOP) program. Beginning today, March 10, 2026, retirement and survivorship pensioners registered under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) may now complete their ACOP compliance online through facial authentication with liveness check.

This innovation leverages the National ID eVerify system to confirm pensioners’ identities, eliminating the need for personal appearance at SSS branches in many cases. By capturing a live facial image and matching it with PhilSys records, the system ensures secure and accurate verification. Once successful, pensioners receive a confirmation message indicating ACOP compliance.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝘾𝙊𝙋 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚: Facial authentication with liveness check is now available as an additional compliance method. 

𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: Pensioners can complete ACOP online via the SSS website, reducing the need to travel to branches. 

𝙀𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮: Available to retirement and survivorship pensioners registered under the National ID system. 

𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚: A confirmation message is generated after successful verification.  

𝙊𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙙𝙨 𝙎𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝘼𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚: Pensioners may continue to comply through personal appearance, video conference verification, or other approved methods.  

SSS emphasizes that facial authentication is not a replacement but an added option to make compliance more accessible. Pensioners are strongly encouraged to register with PhilSys to benefit from easier identity verification and smoother transactions in the future.
